In commemoration of the 3rd Annual World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, the NCEA produced a special June issue of the E-NEWS to highlight global and national elder abuse prevention and awareness initiatives. Guest contributors reported on research projects, training and education, and policy developments from Australia, Japan, Sweden, Belgium, UK, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, and other countries. In addition, members of the Elder Justice Interagency Working Group summarized many of the projects and collaborative efforts undertaken by various US federal agencies to address elder abuse. William Mapother, national spokesperson for the cause, shared his reasons for involvement.

The ABA Commission on Law and Aging has produced a series of charts for the National Center on Elder Abuse that provide state-by-state information on adult protective services (APS) laws.
